Independent - Phase 1 !!

That's the day my little own tried to wear her dress on her own :)

And she wasn't too bothered about the outcome...she was just happy that she could do it on her own...and we just enjoyed watching her...make her learn :)

They can be fun and total mayhem.....U can't have one without the other...entertainment vs anger management classes...tough choices...who ever said parenting was easy ;)

Midst of all these contradictory emotions, I realized and believed that my little one would turn out just fine :) 

But that doesn't stop me from worrying...I guess that's the part of what they call "Being a Mother" !!!

3 Years and Counting !!!

Well my last post was titled "1 year and counting"....and now it is "3 years and counting"....GOD when did this happen ??

Relocating to Canada, missing things you never even gave a second thought about until now...separation & anxiety....ohhhh it has been a long journey...and I was so lost in this transition that I hardly even knew it :|

We recently celebrated Sam's 3rd birthday here without her family - now for those who are wondering, its just not us, her mamma and pappa, but a whole bunch of people such as her grandparents, her uncles & aunts, her brothers and sisters - everyone who were and still are a big part of her life...I know they sure did miss seeing her grow up...and now its up to me to think of ways of making it up to them...

Well Sam is no more the baby girl that I had described in my last post...She is an individual with her own tastes, likes and dislikes....And I am still getting used to my lil girl growing up so fast :)

Baby talk has been replaced by proper sentences...chooses her own clothes instead of me choosing them for her....brushes her teeth on her own instead of me doing it for her....Couple of days back while we were travelling in the bus she was telling me the names of her classmates and all of a sudden she looked at me and said "I like Ty"...and for those who don't know, Ty is one of her classmates at school :)...and all i could do was smile at her innocence...My lil one is indeed growing up !!

Though I have my moments of insecurity, I am a proud mother, no doubt about that :)
